Educational Profit of an Kids Wooden Playhouse

28 Jul

Installing a wooden playhouse or kids playhouse in your garden or backyard will not only delight your children, but will also benefit their education.  Your kids will love doing their homework outside in their wooden playhouse or kids outdoor playhouse, and there are ways to teach them the rewards that study can bring, both materially and in terms of their education.

Among the many benefits of an outdoor kids playhouse, that which many parents fail to appreciate is connected to their education. In fact, the educational benefits of an outdoor kids playhouse are possibly more important than the social benefits and those connected with their physical development.

Most children would rather play than do schoolwork, particularly the younger children. To take that further, even more would rather play in an outdoor playhouse than do their homework, and you might even hesitate installing an outdoor wooden playhouse for your child just for that reason. However, are you sure you know your kids well enough to make that assumption?

Outdoor Playhouse Educational Atmosphere

In fact, if you did build or purchase a kids playhouse or wooden playhouse in your backyard, and furnished it with some chairs and table, you might be pleasantly surprised. Your children love being outdoors, and paradoxically probably love even more being inside their own outdoor playhouse. Even though they are inside a wooden playhouse they still look upon it as being outside, if you get the drift, and so how do you think they would react to doing their homework in an environment they love without the stress of being inside when their friends are outside playing?

Statistics show that they will love it. Your kids will love doing their homework in their own kids school playhouse, and might even play at one being the teacher and the others the pupils while do their homework. Once the schoolwork is over, the wooden playhouse turns into a castle, a dolls house or a witchs house. However, the important factor is that for the time needed, it was their own schoolroom and their homework got done. Not rushed, but completed properly.

The school has been taken out of their schooling, so it is a unique way of them doing their homework. They can do it at their own table and chair, they can use the playhouse loft area or even lie on a beanbag by an open window. They can use their imagination as they do in their play, because in a certain way, doing homework in their outdoor playhouse is a form of play.

A Satisfying Familiarity

You can design a form of rewarding your son or daughter, such as each homework hour could be rewarded with an extra hour playing in the kids playhouse. Or perhaps two hours of play for each hour of homework? Maybe they can save up the hours earned for a whole day in their outdoor playhouse some weekend. That is one way of teaching your child time management and responsibility.

Nevertheless, even if you dont apply any reward scheme, your children will love using a kid’s playhouse for their homework. It appears so adult to them, doing their own work in their own small house just like mummy and daddy do, and a kids playhouse or, wooden playhouse can provide you with many benefits connected with your childrens development.

Apart from the social benefits in learning how to get along with other children and share tasks, there are the educational benefits. These are not just connected with the fact that the homework actually gets done properly, and not rushed just before teatime or bedtime.

An appreciation of how to use their time properly is a definite benefit, and so is the concept of work bringing rewards. These concepts will help throughout their entire time in education, from junior school, through high school to university or college. If your children can develop from an early age the concepts of the importance of focusing their study during quiet time and of the rewards that such study bring, then they will be a good foundation for their future, and you will have done well as a parent.

It is amazing how varied the benefits of outdoor playhouses or a kids playhouse can be, and by installing a wooden playhouse in your backyard you will not only make your kids love you for it, but will also be laying the foundation for a sound academic future.

Most jurisdictions don’t require you to have a building permit for a kid’s playhouse as long as the building is around 110sqft or less. I would still recommend you contact your local office and check to see what the legal limits are for your area (zoning / permits). In Canada check your local municipality office, they will guide you through everything, just remember all information about your proposed playhouse. This is why in the earlier article; I said that it is important to plan where you want to put the outside playhouse. Never listen to anyone that says it doesn’t matter where you put it because months down the road you will be wishing I should have put here!  You can move after but why the headache. In most cases obtaining a permit is very simple.

Now measure along the line 3 feet from the first stake A, and mark the string at this point. From stake A, run a second line perpendicular to the first. Measure out 4 feet to locate point C. If this second line is exactly at a right angle to the first, the diagonal line between A & C will be 5 feet. If not, move point C left or right until the diagonal measures 5 feet and stake that point.

A Kids Playhouse Castle For A Princess

28 Jul

Indoor Playhouse Castle! Children living in condos or apartments can get very restless when they cannot get outdoors and use a kids outdoor playhouse. You can make their life more interesting by turning their bedroom into a playhouse castle, or any of a number of possible kids indoor playhouses. Remember no matter where you live all children will love to use an indoor playhouse, All it takes is imagination, and here are a few ideas.

Children’s bedrooms are ideal for a playhouse castle or any other form of indoors kids playhouses, and offer the benefits of playhouses to children that live in apartments and condos with no garden or yard where they can have an outdoor playhouse. Although it might appear to be difficult to persuade your child that the playhouse is in a different environment to his or her own home, it’s amazing what a little imagination can do!

First, find yourself an old lamp and a candle bulb. Place the lamp shade over the bulb so that it sticks out through the middle of the shade and hey presto – you have just made an indoor campfire. You can make it even more realistic by popping popcorn over the stove and tell some ghost stories, or if that scares the kids, read some stories from a story book. Grimm’s Fairy tales or something like that. You can play games such as I Spy or cards, and the kids are sure to have a few ideas.

The Princess’s Indoor Castle

What young girl doesn’t dream of being a princess and meeting her Prince Charming? Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty are two of the most famous fairy tales of all times, and if you want a happy little girl then you won’t be able to make her a genuine golden diamond tiara, but you can convert her bedroom into her very own palace.

You can include a playhouse castle tent, and you can even use her bed to make a castle tent that can hold several children at play. In fact, if your daughter’s bedroom is big enough, you can build a permanent castle that doesn’t have to be taken down at bed-time. She can even be allowed to sleep in it as special treat for good behaviour.

Disney Playhouse Room

In fact, the possibilities are limited only by your own imagination, and there are loads of things you can do for your kids if you have no garden for them to play in. You can construct a Disney playhouse for them that can be similar to the ‘princess castle tent’ in that it pretends to be Princess Aurora’s castle in Sleeping Beauty, or perhaps decorated up to be Pocahontas’s tent.

You could erect a tent just like Dora the Explorer’s house, a Playhouse Theater or even as a fabulous garage for the boys. A beauty boutique would be fun, and there are plenty more ideas on which you can expand to convert an entire bedroom into a theme of its own.  You could design and build or acquire chests that can be suitably decorated to hold their clothes, and their beds could be permanently designed as a fairy-tale bed. There is a lot that can be done to change a bedroom into an indoor playhouse castle to keep your children happy. You can be certain of one thing: they won’t complain when you send them up their ‘castle’ to get their homework done, so there will be tangible benefits as well as just keeping them happy.

Don’t underestimate a child’s imagination, and if you provide the raw materials they will do the rest. A drawer can be converted to an escape module and a pea under a mattress – well, you know the tale about the Princess and the Pea, don’t you? Some colorful rugs (flying carpets) and an old oil lamp (Aladdin’s genie) will set a imaginative scene and then leave the rest to them – but be careful not to provide spears and arrows for the castle! You want them to play, not have a full-scale battle!

It can be very boring for young children to be cooped up in a condo or apartment, and designing an indoor kid’s playhouse in the form of a playhouse castle is a great way to keep them occupied and happy, and also to get the schoolwork completed. There are many such castles commercially available. Use your imagination, and they will certainly use theirs.  Imaginative Tents Playhouses And Castles For The Princess In Are Lives
